The information on the start of the investigation is published in the Authority’s bulletin, which highlights the “high number of requests for intervention received”. “
In particular, the whistleblowers represent, “in addition to the difficulty of sustaining quadrupled disbursements or fivefold compared to the past, of not having received any prior information” on the contractual renewal and “that he was therefore unable to exercise the right of withdrawal”.
After the Antitrust’s decision to initiate proceedings for alleged unfair commercial practices against Enel Energia regarding the methods of communicating the renewals of the economic conditions for the supply of electricity and gas, “the company believes it has always acted in full compliance with primary and sector regulations, as well as contractual discipline”.
