Enco X2: Oppo launches the second generation of its true wireless headphones in France

Enco X2 Oppo launches the second generation of its true

Known for its smartphones, Oppo also offers true wireless headphones and continues its partnership with the Danish audio specialist Dynaudio. Thus, Oppo is launching in France the successors to the excellent Enco X headphones, soberly called Enco X2. We find the dual-speaker system, active noise reduction (ANC), as well as the use of the LHDC high-definition audio codec, a competitor to Sony’s LDAC. The headphones also have AAC and SBC codecs.

The Enco X2 are equipped with a new generation of loudspeakers, for a better restitution of the sound space. The one dedicated to the treble has a four-magnet system, to reach frequencies up to 40 kHz, while the one dedicated to the bass has an ultra-thin membrane (0.0095 mm) to deliver deep bass.

The headphones are IP54 certified to resist sweat and have a new control system by pressing both sides of the rod. This is also used to adjust the volume, by a vertical swipe of the finger.

ANC is more effective at reducing vocals

Oppo announces that it has also improved hybrid active noise reduction, which can now process frequencies up to 4000 Hz. This limits the disturbance caused by human voices, for example in a cafe or in an open space.

The noise reduction is of the adaptive type, that is to say that it adapts its power to the ambient noise level. The manufacturer announces a reduction of up to 45 dB, against 35 dB for the first generation. For phone calls, bone conduction sensors can better differentiate the voice from surrounding noise. Also, the headphones are more resistant to wind noise.

According to the manufacturer, the Enco X2s offer a battery life of 5.5 hours (maximum AAC and ANC codec), up to 9.5 hours without noise reduction. With the charging case, the total autonomy is 22 hours and 40 hours respectively. Also, the case is compatible with Qi wireless charging.

Oppo also delivers a USB cable, as well as three pairs of tips. The latter benefit from an antibacterial treatment, for a better hygiene of the ear.

The Enco X2 headphones have been designed to work best with Oppo smartphones, but the manufacturer offers the free HeyMelody app for iOS and Android devices. This app allows, among other things, to test the insulation of the earmolds and to personalize the sound according to your hearing.
