Enav in the Top 10 of the Most climate conscious companies

(Finance) – ENAV – the company that manages civil air traffic in Italy – ranked seventh out of over 600 companies identified in the ranking “More climate-conscious companies”, the only company in the sector to reach the top ten. L’investigationpublished by the column Planet 2030 – Corriere della Sera and curated by Statista, a company specialized in market research, ranking and analysis of company data, focused on reducing the ratio between CO2 emissions and the sales.

The research was based, in fact, on consumption of CO2, divided into scope 1 (direct emissions) and scope 2 (indirect emissions), in relation to turnover. The reduction in the ratio between emissions and turnover (Compound Annual Reduction Rate) indicates the degree of reduction in companies’ CO2 emissions.

The CEO Pasqualino Mountains declared: “We are satisfied and proud of this result achieved thanks to the work of all the people in the company. The ENAV Group’s strategy is in line with the Net Zero 2050 climate objectives to minimize the impact of CO2 emissions. We are finalizing an industrial plan in which business objectives are fully integrated with not only environmental but also social sustainability.”

It should be remembered that the ENAV Group reached the carbon neutrality, the only air traffic service provider in the world to have achieved this objective. The Company has reduced emissions generated by corporate activities by over 80% thanks to the use of energy from renewable sources and offset the remaining approximately 20% by financing two environmental sustainability projects in India and Mozambique.

Furthermore, ENAV also contributes to the reduction of emissions by companies aerial thanks to intense work by optimization from the broken which, in 2023 alone, allowed carriers to save over 60 million kg of fuel.
