Enac 73rd ECAC Special Meeting concluded

(Finance) – The 73rd ECAC Special Meeting concluded today in Maastricht, attended by the Italian delegation led by ENAC President Pierluigi Di Palma. The works were chaired by DG ENAC Alessio Quarantain his role as ECAC President, and focused on the strategic priorities and proposals that, at European level, will be brought to the table at the 42nd ICAO Assembly, scheduled for 2025.

In addition to the reconciliation of the sector with the environment and the contribution that our country can offer for a common policy on the use of SAF, we have underlined the importance of technological innovation, as a strategic resource for an even safer, more inclusive and human-scale civil aviation”.

A harmonized, resilient and open-to-exchange approach allows us to anticipate the challenges that await us and to fulfill the priorities identified”.

Among the main topics discussed during the Meetingthe ICAO Council elections, the European list of candidates and the ratification status of the Protocols amending the Chicago Convention. All States are unanimous in their commitment to continue their efforts to strengthen international cooperation.
