Eleven employees at Norra Älvsborg County Hospital in Trollhättan are dismissed after being accused of cheating with its working hours, TTELA reports.

The employees must have systematically helped each other to stamp in and out, according to an investigation made by the Västra Götaland region.

Thus, they have been paid for working hours without being in place. Some have also received compensation for inconvenient working hours.

The employer sees it as a “systematic theft that is a serious violation of the employment contract”, according to the written dismissal people received during the winter.

It was all discovered when one of the people talked about it, and the information reached a manager. The region does not know how many hours it is about, as it is not possible to search for information that is older than three months in the system. But according to talks with the people who participated in the cheat, it has been going on for at least as many as 2024.
