The accident happened a year ago when the employee was mistakenly told that a machine was off and then stuck his hand near the machine’s rotating blade.
The injury led to several of the employee’s fingers having to be fully or partially amputated.
According to the penalty order from the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the employer has been negligent and has not done what is required to prevent the accident by risk assessment of the machine and sufficient information and protection for its employees.
