Due to the strike of screenwriters and actors in Hollywood, the ceremony rewarding the best of American television will be postponed according to several media across the Atlantic. It was originally to be held on September 18. According to the Los Angeles Times, the awards ceremony will be held in January 2024, but no official date has been set. As a reminder, Hollywood screenwriters and actors are on strike to protest against the use of artificial intelligence in their professions and to demand higher wages.
The nominations for the 2023 Emmy Awards were announced on July 12. Series are already emerging as big favorites. This is the case of “Succession“, nominated 27 times including for Best Drama Series, three times for Best Drama Actor, and once for Best Actress in a Drama. “The Last of Us” is also doing well with 24 nominations , followed by “The White Lotus” (23 nominations) and “Ted Lasso” (21 nominations).
