Emmanuelle Haïm is a great specialist in baroque music and a renowned international harpsichordist. His ensemble, the Concert d’Astrée is celebrating its 20th anniversary. To celebrate this event, a double album entitled “A New Baroque Party” was released by Warner Classics/Erato.
The Anglo-Saxon press nicknamed her, “The Mrs Dynamite of French Baroque”. That is to say if the reputation ofEmmanuelle Haim exploded on the biggest international stages.
It’s been a little over 20 years now that the ensemble – the Concert d’Astrée – that this harpsichordist and conductor founded, shares with all audiences, the essentials, but also less performed works by Rameau, Handel , Purcell or Monteverdi, in collaboration with the greatest directors.
So to celebrate its 20th anniversary, the concert d’Astrée gave two gala concerts, one in Paris at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, the other at the Staatsoper in Berlin, with very great lyrical voices. Two concerts that gave birth to a double album entitled “A new baroque party” available at Warner Classics / Erato.
Emmanuelle Haïm is the guest of Jean-François Cadet.
