Emmanuel Macron proposed to open a dialogue with other European countries on French nuclear deterrence. The Head of State also wants a rise in European defense with an increase in military spending. But the French proposal, said the Élysée, does not have the ambition to deploy nuclear weapons outside of France or revisiting nuclear doctrine.
