Emma Watson by Harry Potter colleague David Holmes and Daniel Radcliffe moved to tears
David Holmes wrote about his experiences as a stuntman and his life after the Harry Potter series in the book The Boy Who Lived: When Magic and Reality Collide *, which was published at the end of 2024. The book also includes a foreword by Daniel Radcliffe, who supported Holmes in his documentary David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived, published in 2023.
Emma Watson got her friend’s book and informed her touching feelings on Instagram (via CinemaLend):
I have just [Daniel Radcliffes] Foreword and David Holmes’ Beautiful Book ‘The Boy Who Lived’ to finish and read and Can’t stop crying (A few laughs were also there, of course because it is David).
Furthermore, Watson did not miss the opportunity to shoot the advertising drum for the latest work by her former Harry Potter colleague:
But if you want to read something this Christmas that gives you an insight behind the scenes of a film like Harry Potter, but also in The deep human journey, a place and the meaning in the world when life challenges us … David’s book is a beautiful one. Congratulations, dear David.

David Holmes replied Emma Watson with an old Harry Potter set photo-in the Hermione costume
David Holmes of course immediately discovered Watson’s words on Instagram and was very happy about the support of his Harry Potter colleague. So he then shared an old picture of himself on the set of the fantasy series, which shows him in the Hermine costume. He wrote:
At this point you will find an external content of Instagramthat adds the article. You can have it displayed with one click and hide it again.
Another member of my Potter family, Emma Watson, shared it in her story. Just like Hermione, Emma is incredibly smart, wonderful and always supported me in life before and after my accident. Not many people know that I arranged at the time that one of my friends gave their dance lessons during the Potter franchise, as part of physical training.[…] I also dubbed as Hermione, as you can see. I looked pretty good in the Hermine wig.
