After Emma Stone’s Oscar triumph: First trailer for Kinds of Kindness by Yorgos Lanthimos

Kinds of Kindness – Teaser (English) HD

Unlike Poor Things and The Favorite, Kinds of Kindness is not a film that tells one big, coherent story. Instead, we’re dealing with an anthology film that… composed of three episodes. Stone and the rest of the cast take on different roles in each episode.

And this cast is definitely impressive. In addition to Stone, two stars are returning were in Poor Things, namely Margaret Qualley and Willem Dafoe. There are also Hunter Schafer, Hong Chau, Mamoudou Athie, Jesse Plemons and Joe Alwyn, who made his Lanthimos debut in The Favourite.

A look behind the camera reveals even more familiar names. Lanthimos simply did it again for Kinds of Kindness his Poor Things team brought together, from editor Yorgos Mavropsaridis to cameraman Robbie Ryan to composer Jerskin Fendrix. The film was shot in New Orleans from October to December 2022.

When does Kinds of Kindness start in cinemas?

Kinds of Kindness starts in the USA on June 21, 2024 in the cinemas. The film is distributed by Searchlight Pictures, which belongs to Disney.
