Emma Ribom finally got her revenge.
Then she couldn’t hold back her tears.
“It means a lot to me,” she tells the Sports Bible.
It has been a tough season for the Swedish ski star Emma Ribom. She has not been able to take a single individual pallet place at the World Cup during the winter and had to fight far down in the results lists.
Ribom’s revenge
This year’s ski World Cup in Trondheim also became unfortunate as Ribom did not live up to expectations and was far from the medals in the individual races due to heart problems. She brought a World Cup gold home in the women’s relay but also had it very tough on her route.

Over the weekend, Emma got her revenge on this sketch season through a fine race in the Norwegian Holmenkollen. The Swedish sprint specialist impressed in a distance race for the sake of change and became nine in the two -mile at the World Cup on Saturday.
– It was good. 20 km classically individual may not be in advance my best. But there was a lot that was right today and it was so nice to make it work, because it has not been easy this year, in many ways. I have not been spoiled with a good feeling, but I thought I had it today, so I should take that with me, she says in an interview with the Sports Bible.
Emma in tears
The emotions flooded for Emma Ribom after the finish and she burst into tears.
– Sport is really deep valleys and high peaks. For me, I’ve really been in a valley and groping all season, so it was nice to get a top too. It means a lot to me, she says emotionally.

Another who got a nice revenge in Holmenkollen was the Norwegian ski queen Therese Johaug Who took home the two -mile. After all the World Cup silver in Trondheim, she finally got to step at the top of the podium at home in Norway.
– It’s impressive. She is at home and has her home plan advantage so we get to work for Swedish revenge tomorrow, Ribom said on Saturday.
The Swede would get so right then Moa Ilar Surprisingly, the Sunday race took home at 10 km free. It was her first individual World Cup victory this season and her second individual World Cup victory in her career.
