Emma Kimiläinen struggled for third place, but the crash ruined the chances once again.

Emma Kimiläinen demonstrated at the opening weekend of the Women’s Formula One W Series season in Miami, USA, that she is gaining momentum. Puma driver Kimiläinen was fifth in the second race on Sunday, but there were opportunities for better.
Kimiläinen, who started from the third square, was third before the start of the last round, but Britain Alice Powell hit behind his car, and the Finn fell two places.
In Saturday’s opening race, Kimiläinen was stuck in the win until the final round, but made a mistake after the restart, crashed and dropped to 15th.
Miami won two races in Britain Jamie Chadwickwith both W Series championships from 2019 and 2021. Kimiläinen was third in last season’s finals.
The season will continue in two weeks in Barcelona.
