(Finance) – Meeting at Palazzo Chigi between the Prime Minister, Georgia Melonsand the president of Emilia Romagna, Stephen Bonaccini. In a statement, the government explained that the conversation focused on the post-flood state that hit the areas of Reggio Emilia, Modena, Bologna, Ferrara, Ravenna and Forlì-Cesena. “Meloni and Bonaccini also discussed the issue of using resources of the Cohesion and development funds”, continues the press release, specifying that Meloni “has confirmed his full willingness to define in the next few days the methods of assignment of resources, reiterating the positive progress of the work between the Ministry for Cohesion Policies and the Emilia-Romagna region”
Bonaccini said that “the common will is to do it quickly and well, for the benefit of the affected areas and people”. The Emilia-Romagna Region underlined “the need to procedures effective which guarantee due compensation to citizens and businesses and urgent interventions for the restoration and safety of the territory, in the maximum collaboration with the Commissioner for Reconstruction, General Figliuolo, together with the Region, local authorities and communities”. In the same note, the Emilia Romagna Region confirmed “its full willingness to define the methods for allocating resources in the next few days, reiterating the positive progress of work between the Ministry for Cohesion Policies and the Emilia-Romagna region.
Finally, Bonaccini and Meloni have agreed, for next autumn, one visit to the Technopole of Bolognaan international hub of big data and digital, which already hosts the European supercomputer Leonardo and the Data Center of the European Meteorological Center and where all the main national scientific and research bodies will be based”.
