According to coach Federico Ricci, the withdrawal is a precautionary measure so that the soon-to-be-started US tour is not jeopardized.

– Nothing serious, it’s a very small matter. He has felt a little pain, probably because at this point in the season a lot of different ball qualities and types have been used.
