Saturday (and Sunday) is the best day of the week for millions of amateur footballers and other athletes, this weekend many will be allowed back on the field. From selection teams to friend teams, from youth to 35-plussers and veterans. For a large part it is the first match since the holiday and that also means that not everyone is ‘match fit’. The sports season also has an impact on the influx to the Emergency Department (ED) and the GP posts of hospitals.
