It was in November 2021 that Mullsjö Municipality discovered that an employee had transferred money to his own accounts by masking various transactions. In total, it is about one million kroner. Now the person has received a punishment order for the crime of gross infidelity against the principal.
Since the employee has admitted the crime and paid back the money, there was a penalty order instead of prosecution and trial.
– It was included in the penalty order that the employee should pay back the money, says prosecutor Jacob Tunborg to Jönköpings-Posten.
The penalty was determined to be a suspended sentence and daily fines totaling just over SEK 36,000.
