It has been a companion throughout the summer. Cristiano Ronaldo has explicitly wanted to leave Manchester United after just one season, and did not go along during the Premier League club’s pre-season tour.
Back in Manchester
Manchester United stated that it was for personal reasons – but at the same time there have been feverish rumors that he and his agent are looking for a new club address. Several teams have been mentioned as a possible destination for the big star, but he still belongs to the Manchester club.
Reports mean that during the week he will talk to the new head coach Erik Ten Haag about his future. On Tuesday, Ronaldo was back at the club’s training facility, but with his agent. It makes the former Tottenham goalkeeper Erik Thorsvedt, now an expert on Norwegian TV2, furious.
“Just getting worse”
– I think it is strange that he and his agent have acted as they have, without a new club being ready. It will therefore be embarrassing to return to the club that he (Ronaldo) considers to be beneath his dignity, he says.
Thorsvedt believes that Cristiano Ronaldo has far too many negative sides, and says that this makes him hugely unattractive to the biggest clubs:
