Presley bought the plane, a Lockheed Jetstar, in December 1976, according to the auction firm Mecumand it was then just one of several planes in the rock legend’s possession.
The red-painted plane with silver details seats six passengers who can sit in puffy red velvet armchairs. On board are also luxury furnishings of the time such as a microwave oven, a flat screen TV with VCR and even a cassette player.
The toilet is equipped with marble sinks and gold-colored taps.
The plane is not in airworthy condition, it lacks engines, among other things, and is parked at the Roswell International Air Center in New Mexico in the USA.
