Premier League club Liverpool FC has not commented on the matter.
Billionaire, entrepreneur and investor Elon Musk’s father, Errol Muskclaims his son is interested in buying Premier League soccer club Liverpool FC.
Liverpool, currently leading the Premier League and Champions League, is owned by Fenway Sports Group, which has previously accepted investments.
Errol Musk told Times Radio that the CEO of electric car maker Tesla and owner of messaging service X has an interest in the six-time European Cup and Champions League winner, but that doesn’t mean a deal will happen just yet.
– He would like (to buy), but obviously anyone would want to do that now. He also said that he can’t comment on the matter any more, because otherwise they will raise the price, father Musk talked, according to the news agency AP.
Liverpool has not commented on the matter. In 2023, the club was the 20th most valuable Sports Club in the world in the Forbes list with a value of 5.288 billion dollars.
In September 2023, FSG sold a minority stake to the US investment company Dynasty Equity.
At the time, the front man for Fenway Sports Group Mike Gordon commented: “Our long-term commitment to Liverpool is stronger than ever. We have always said that if a suitable investor is found for Liverpool, we will strive to ensure the club’s long-term financial security and its future growth.”
Errol Musk said on Times Radio that they have relatives in Liverpool.
