Elon Musk persists and signs, he will not buy Twitter without guarantees that fake accounts and spam are drastically reduced.
Elon Musk gave a layer this Tuesday via his account on the American social network. He calls into question the explanations provided the day before by the boss of Twitter concerning the fight against the scourge of bots and spam. The Tesla boss responded with an emoji in the shape of a poo, once again casting doubt on his desire to buy Twitter.
The billionaire therefore never stops playing with the nerves of the boss of Twitter, Parag Agrawal, to whom he announced at the end of April the takeover of his group for 44 billion dollars.
A desire to lower the redemption price?
After casting doubt on the operation last week, then going back on his remarks by ensuring that he was still committed to the takeover, Elon Musk gave the cover at the start of the week. In question, always, at least officially, the proportion of fake accounts and spam that have polluted the social network for years.
On Monday, the Bloomberg agency reported that Elon Musk estimated this share of fake accounts at 20%. Figures denied the same day by the boss of Twitter who ensures that the efforts of his group have reduced it to barely 5%.
This battle of figures would hide, according to many financial analysts in the United States, a maneuver by Elon Musk to reduce the takeover price of Twitter. Since Monday, at each opening of the stock exchanges in New York, the title to the blue bird displays red, its value was still falling on Tuesday at the Nasdaq electronic stock market in New York.
