After many turns, Elon Musk took over Twitter last week. The purchase landed at 44 billion dollars and since the takeover the new owner has been open that changes need to be made to make the company profitable.

He has fired the board, laid off staff and introduced a new type of service where users need to pay money to get a blue marker next to their username indicating that the account belongs to a verified user.

But despite the cuts, the new owner is not sure that the company has a future, reports the news agency Reuters, which refers to the newsletter Platformer.

It was at a meeting on Thursday that Elon Musk is said to have told the company’s employees that he is unsure how long Twitter can survive under the current economic conditions and that it is not inconceivable that the platform will go bankrupt in the future.

According to information to Platformer, Twitter’s security chief Yoel Roth has also been told to leave the company.

Elon Musk, who is himself a diligent Twitterer, has not yet commented on the information.
