SpaceX, Elon Musk’s company, is being sued – by a card game, of all things. The accusation is that they have filled other people’s property with garbage and destroyed nature.
It is no new discovery that Elon Musk is so rich that laws are sometimes no obstacle for him. He likes to build a factory without a building permit and simply pays the fines, only then worrying about the permit later.
But in other countries, Musk’s company SpaceX appears to pay even less attention to who actually owns a piece of land. At least, that’s what Cards Against Humanity claims, who are now suing Elon Musk and publishing this on their website Elon owes you 100 dollars.

Who is Cards Against Humanity? Many people will know Cards Against Humanity (“CAH”) from the bitter card game. It is a game for adults that takes up many serious social and political topics and where you have to fill in the gaps in statements with slogans from other cards. This often leads to very nasty combinations – the merciless, black humor is the hallmark of the game.
Apart from that, CAH also supports a number of projects that are intended to help the environment or people or at least send a signal. The purchase of a piece of land was one such signal. (via apnews.com)
Card game bought land to prevent wall against Mexico
Why does Cards Against Humanity own the land? Cards Against Humanity had already bought the land in 2017, collecting $15 each from 150,000 members of the campaign. The land in the Texas border region was bought with the intention of “stopping racist billionaire Donald Trump from building his very stupid wall.”
The idea: If you own the land through which the wall should go, then the wall simply cannot be built.
What is the accusation now? Several years have passed since the land was purchased. However, Elon Musk – or rather the company SpaceX – is said to have not respected the boundaries of the foreign property. Because SpaceX has also bought land near the area in question and is currently in the process of developing it.
In doing so, they also entered the land that Cards Against Humanity owns. Excavators were parked here, as well as building materials and a lot of rubble. The vegetation that was previously there has been almost completely destroyed, as can be seen in some pictures.

If they get away with it, they plan to pay out up to $100 to the original 150,000 backers because “people gave us their hard-earned money and we promised to protect the country from racist billionaires and their stupid prestige projects.”
This is how SpaceX is said to have behaved: After SpaceX was informed that they had dumped the building materials and rubble on land that did not belong to them, SpaceX made an offer to buy the land almost immediately – but for a “price that was less than half the actual price of the land”. They then said “Fuck you, Elon Musk, I’ll see you in court”. And that is exactly what will probably happen now.
