Elon Musk in place in a future Trump government? An exchange of camaraderie with the air of a presidential campaign

Elon Musk in place in a future Trump government An

Elon Musk interviewed Donald Trump on X. Supporting the billionaire for the race for the White House, he could want to find himself, in the event of victory in November, alongside the former president.

Elon Musk interviewed Donald Trump on X for nearly two hours on Monday. Musk is one of the former president’s major supporters in his race for the White House. “I think we’re at a turning point in the fate of civilization and I think we have to take the right path. And I think you’re the right path,” the X boss said during the conversation, which was delayed due to an alleged “massive attack,” according to the Tesla boss.

At his ease, Donald Trump did not hesitate to highlight his campaign themes, sometimes with very strong statements. In particular, he assured that if he were re-elected, he would set up “the largest deportation in history”. Elon Musk even added another layer: “We have people flocking in like it’s a zombie apocalypse”. The two men also emphasized “the risk of a third world war” which is, according to them, not negligible in view of “the nuclear escalation”.

The former president, Joe Biden, also joked about climate change, once again dismissing the subject of his concerns, saying that rising sea levels would mean “more beachfront properties.” The former president also praised his relationships with Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-Un, whom he considers to be “at the top of their game.” He assures that these leaders often seen as dictators simply have “a different kind of love” for their country.

The interview quickly took on the air of a campaign interview between two billionaires with very similar ideas. The owner of Space X even seems to have applied for a position in the Trump administration, if the latter were elected in November. He said he would like to take part in a commission that would “ensure that taxpayers’ money is spent wisely”. An enticing proposition for the former head of state who then complimented his interlocutor: “You are the best cost-cutter,” he said, referring to the waves of layoffs at X.

Kamala Harris criticized, Democrats fight back

This interview was not at all appreciated by the Democrats. Elon Musk also described Kamala Harris, who took Joe Biden’s place to try to run for president in November, as a “far-left” candidate. Donald Trump, for his part, claimed that Joe Biden’s withdrawal was “a coup d’état”.

Joseph Costello, a spokesman for Kamala Harris’ campaign, criticized such an exchange: “Mr. Trump’s entire campaign is in service of people like Elon Musk and himself – self-centered rich people who will sell out the middle class and who won’t be able to host a livestream in 2024.”
