In a post on the platform Truth Social have Donald Trump Warned by introducing “large -scale tariffs” about the EU and Canada ties closer cooperation.
“If the European Union cooperates with Canada to damage the United States financially, large -scale tariffs, much greater than planned, will be directed at both of them,” the president writes.
Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney believes that customs are a “direct attack” against the country’s workers. The chairman of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen has said that she regrets the US decision to impose customs duties on EU vehicle exports.
“As I have said before, tariffs are taxes – bad for companies, worse for consumers in both the US and the EU. The EU will continue to seek negotiated solutions,” she writes in a post on X.
Now even Trump’s right hand, the billionaire and Tesla CEO seems Elon Muskbe worried. Musk says Trump’s car duties have a “significant effect” on Tesla.
“Important to note here is that Tesla is not unharmed. Customs’ effect on Tesla is still significant,” he writes in a post on X.
