The group, which is based in Borås and includes the Ellos and Jotex brands, is currently in negotiations for a debt of SEK 1.5 billion since a bond expired during the summer.
Ellos in economic crisis
According to the financial manager Johan Stigson the work of trying to find long-term financing has been going on for a long time.
“Our assessment is that the situation should not affect Ellos Group’s employees in Borås or in other markets, nor our suppliers or business relationships. Business will continue as usual with a focus on continuously improving the offer to our core customer, while our future plans regarding, among other things, new warehouse and logistics solutions are expected to continue,” he writes in an email to the newspaper.
