Ella Halvarsson was unknown to the general public a few months ago. A few top positions later, she is seen as one of Sweden’s hottest biathletes.
“I’ve never been kicked out before”
In an interview with News24 told Halvarsson about the successes that came early in the 2024/25 season.
– I’ve never been kicked out before. Even though I haven’t been to the World Cup, I’ve still done well for myself at the IBU (International Biathlon Union, editor’s note). Now I’ve had a really good training year where I’m taking steps. Then you notice that we are a very strong women’s team, so if you are not really top, you will not get a place there. I’ve been right outside now for quite a few years and then you can’t see.
She filled in:
– I wouldn’t say that I feel that much pressure either from myself or from the management here. I think it’s more that many expect more. If I make the top 30, then probably others don’t think it’s so good anymore. If I had only made the top 30, it would have been great. From my own point of view, I’m kind of satisfied.

– I think it’s so much fun that my sister Isa, who is so much fun, has time to take out her phone and film. It’s super fun to watch.
