Ella Halvarsson made her World Cup debut in the sprint.
Then she became the best Swedish and stepped into ninth place in total.
– Eighth ride. She is faster than both Elvira and Hanna Öberg. We didn’t think so, says SVT expert Björn Ferry.
It seemed to be a pretty good Swedish day for the four biathloning ladies that took place at the starting line in the World Cup sprint in Lenzerheide. In the end it was the World Cup debutant Ella Halvarsson25, which did best.
Hanna Öberg shot herself
All four Swedes shot clean in the first shooter and had nice ride times. However, all four (!) Stood for two bars were in the standing shooter.
– Yes, it was heavy. Absolutely. Now I stand on the lying section, that is Johan Hagström Which is on standing. Hannas (Öberg) Barries were a rough boom, she cared for the last shot to really hit it. It was boring, absolutely, says Sweden’s shooter trainer Jean-Marc Chabloz In the broadcast after that, it was clear that Hanna Öberg and Anna Magnusson shot away.

It looked long like Elvira Öberg Or Ella Halvarsson could challenge for a medal. But they met the same fate as their countrymen.
– It was sickly boring. It is still more tricky in lying than in standing I think. Super boring when they came through the lying so well all, so you had really hoped for someone with a little better than two booms. It was acidic, really, says Chabloz after Elvira Öberg and Ella Halvarsson bombed two shots each.
Missed World Cup medal again for Sweden
As mentioned, Ella Halvarsson became the best Swedish in her World Cup debut. She came in ninth place. Elvira Öberg came in tenth place, Hanna Öberg in nineteenth place and Anna Magnusson in twenty place.
