Ella Halvarsson is one of four Swedes who run Friday’s sprint in the biathlon.
After a superb breakthrough season, the 25-year-old is now making his championship debut.

Before this season, not many Swedes knew Ella Halvarsson25. But she started tearing up in the World Cup premiere in Kontiolax where she really showed who she is.
She was given the confidence to run the single mixed relay together with Sebastian Samuelsson After that Hanna Öberg forced to stand over. It became a thunder success! Ella and Sebastian won the premiere in Finland. She then surprised even more when she came second in the short distance.

After a total of four pallet seats in the World Cup, one of whom is an individual, Ella Halvarsson has really become a new star in the Swedish national team. She was self-written in Sweden’s World Cup squad. During Friday she makes her championship debut as she is one of four Swedes who get the chance in the sprint (7.5 km).
The former national team sweden and the Olympic gold hero Fredrik Lindström35, is impressed by Ella Halvarsson and looks forward to what she can achieve in the World Cup.
– I think it is so much fun to follow the national team right now, too, with the strong names that are and also these wonderful breakthroughs we have seen this season. It does not matter if it is a women’s or men’s competition, there are Swedish chances there all the time, he tells the Sports Bible.

– Just to see those breakthroughs is extra fun. It’s one of those steps … I don’t even think she felt it could happen. But it is so when you are in a strong team and training with those who are among the best in the world.
