Ella Ekholm receives a jubilee golden ticket

In Saturday’s “Idol” audition, Mauri Hermundsson has an acquaintance with him.
And Ella Ekholm, who was in “Uppdrag mat” because of her love for rolls, makes a big impression on the jury.
– This is terribly good, says Anders Bagge.

19-year-old Ella Ekholm woke up to a phone call from Mauri Hermundsson. A few hours later, she was ready to sing at “Idol’s” audition.

– This is the “semmeljejen” that we called in this morning, says Mauri in the program.

The two met just a few weeks earlier during the filming of “Mission food”. Ella Ekholm is in the episode where Mauri Hermundsson tries to eat for a day as Sweden’s most useless person. Ella Ekholm, who eats two rolls a day all year round, also sings a song about rolls in Mauri’s program.

Now she stands on the Idol stage and performs the song “Steamroller” by James Taylor. Everyone in the jury is floored.

– Coolest so far, it really is, you have a great attitude, you are full of energy, says Ash Pournouri.

Anders Bagge: “We have regretted it”

There are four resounding yeses from the jury and Ella Ekholm leaves the room with a golden ticket. But just as she has come out the door, Anders Bagge catches up – and takes it from her.

– We have regretted it, he says.

Instead, Ella Ekholm is awarded a commemorative gold ticket.

– Everyone was completely sold, it’s exactly you we’ve been waiting for, a girl who comes in and delivers and is clear in her musicality, says Anders Bagge.

Get a commemorative gold ticket

Exactly what significance the anniversary gold ticket has remains to be seen, but according to the presenter Pär Lernström, it gives a great advantage in the final audition.

– It’s like a “super-like”, says Pär Lernström.

Ella Ekholm describes the feeling afterwards.

– It’s crazy. I am very happy.

16-year-old Nils Swärd and Robin Sohlberg, 23, are two participants who previously received anniversary gold tickets during the autumn season.
