Utrecht – “When I walk through the characteristic entrance, I immediately feel like I’m coming home,” says Martin Turksma. Martin was a goalkeeper at Elinkwijk for years. “I played here from the age of six until I was 34.” In between, at the age of 17, he left his beloved Elinkwijk for two seasons to join the youth academy of PSV and Ajax. “After that, I could have gone to Willem II and NAC, but I chose to go back to Elinkwijk.”
