A welcome Swedish tennis success, since the sport’s messy last year with Mikael Ymer who was suspended for 18 months for doping offences, and Dragos Madaras suspended and under investigation by the International Tennis Integrity Agency.
The last time Elias Ymer played in Wimbledon was in 2022. Then the 28-year-old actually went to the qualifying final, but due to an illness he got the chance in the main tournament anyway. It then stopped immediately in the first round.
