Vancouver Canucks is said to want to get rid of Elias Pettersson.
Now NHL expert Don Cherry says it will be difficult to find a new club address for the Swede.
“Nobody wants him,” he says in the podcast “Don Cherry’s Grapevine”.
After winning SM gold during their only season with Växjö Lakers moved Elias Pettersson26, to Vancouver Canucks in the NHL for the 2018/2019 season. He is now making his seventh season with the Canadian club. It is rumored that it may be his last.
The Swede has only accounted for 31 points in 43 matches this year and he has been criticized for not delivering in the same way he has done before. Earlier in the season he got a little boot from Vancouver’s Swedish General Manager Patrik Allvin.
“Life will only be tougher. He has not achieved anything yet. I don’t think he has been aware of how tough this is, ”he said.
It has also begun to talk about Elias Pettersson going away from the club. According to rumors he has been in conflict with the star JT Miller. He himself has demented it.
– I’ve heard about it but it’s like nothing I can control. I try not to think about it. I’m sure it will end if we play better and we win, he told Sportsnet.

Now Pettersson has received a hefty portion of criticism from the former NHL player, now the expert and thinker, Don Cherry90. He says in his own podcast “Don Cherry’s Grapevine” that the Swede is overestimated and that it will be difficult for Vancouver to find a new employer for him.
– No one wants him. He is the third highest paid player in the NHL and he has only had a good year, he says.
Elias Pettersson has a basic salary of $ 11.6 million (just over SEK 120 million) per year. But since he signed an 8-year agreement in March last year and chose to pick out a high sign on bonus this summer of $ 12 million. If you turn it out at the entire contract period, he earns just over SEK 150 million per year. No Swedish has ever earned so much in the NHL.

Don Cherry thinks that Vancouver Canucks should simply ship both Pettersson and JT Miller.
