Elias Pettersson snubbed millions
As a result of a planned house purchase, Pettersson has now been robbed of millions.
Pettersson planned to buy a house in Danderyd, and thus paid a down payment to the broker, which was SEK 2.7 million.
After Pettersson discovered flaws with the house, he decided not to buy – but he has not received the down payment back. As a result of not buying the house, he was then demanded SEK 5.3 million by the seller, which in turn took the dispute further to the district court.
The legal dispute ended with Pettersson not having to pay any damages, but he has not recovered the down payment from the broker.
The broker turns out to be a fraud, and now he is serving a 6-year prison sentence for several serious frauds, according to Sundsvall’s newspaper.
