Electricity support for companies gets the go-ahead – this is happening now

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The proposed electricity subsidy for companies is approved by the Energy Market Inspectorate. On January 4, Svenska kraftnät came up with a new revised support for the companies to be able to use bottleneck revenues to finance electricity support for businesses and legal entities – a support that the Energy Markets Inspectorate (EI) now approves, according to a press release.

“EI considers that Svenska kraftnät’s model, with a ceiling in accordance with the Commission’s communication, is a reasonable and acceptable trade-off that enables a quick handling of the payment of the aid, while at the same time it does not conflict with the purpose of supporting the customers who have been hit particularly hard by high electricity prices”, writes the authority.

It is still unclear when the money can be paid out. First, the proposal must also be approved by the EU Commission. Nor has it been decided how the support will be paid out.

In the clip above, you can see Minister of Economic Affairs Ebba Busch talk about the support at a press conference last week.
