The daily price for electricity on Saturday will be 70 öre per kilowatt hour throughout the country, according to pricing on the Nord Pool electricity exchange.
In electricity areas 3 and 4 – south of the Dalälven – the electricity price is thus at the lowest level since the bottom on November 24 at 20 and 27 öre respectively. In electricity areas 1 and 2 – north of Dalaläven – 70 öre per kilowatt-hour is, however, an increase compared to Friday when the electricity price there was 68 öre.
The recent unusually high electricity price was the result of several factors: production problems for reactor 4 at the Ringhals nuclear power plant, cold weather and calm winds.
