In recent days, over 100 customers have received calls from fraudsters who say that something has gone wrong with the invoice and ask the customer to identify themselves with a BankID or bank box in order to receive a refund.

Eon states that the company never proceeds that way and urges customers to exercise caution when it comes to handing out bank details.

– Don’t believe them. It’s not true. We never proceed that way, says Mikael Bladh, head of invoicing and payment at Eon.

At the same time, Eon flags that in the future it will contact its customers in connection with the proposed electricity price compensation being approved.

– It will not take place by telephone. We will therefore not call our customers about electricity price compensation,” says Bladh.
