In Sweden, approximately 50 percent of the cars that are newly registered today still have combustion engines, but electric cars continue to increase.
The proportion of rechargeable cars so far this year amounts to approximately 52 percent of the company’s registered cars. Electric cars account for just over 27 percent and plug-in hybrids for 25 percent.
“A fairly clear trend”
The reason for the increase is believed to be climate change.
– We see a fairly clear trend where electric cars are increasing dramatically. I think that environmental thinking is a big reason for this, the average person wants to do what he or she can for the environment, says Ulf Olofsson, vice president of Olofsson Bil.
