On Sunday, Guatemalans went to the polls to decide on their new president who will succeed Alejandro Giamattei, lawmakers and their next mayors. For the moment, only a small part of the ballots have been counted, and mainly the urban votes. The first estimates announce about 54% participation and so far the invalid vote is also extremely strong (17%).
