General elections are being held this Saturday, August 26 in Gabon. For the first time in the country’s history, Gabonese will vote at the same time for the presidential, legislative and local elections. President Ali Bongo is seeking a third term. He faces thirteen candidates, including Albert Ondo Ossa, behind whom the main opposition parties have lined up.
