In Elden Ring, you can encounter the Millicent Quest to get powerful talismans and avoid the worst ending in the story. In our overview we show you all the quest steps in German.
Millicent, the one-armed woman with scarlet hair, is one of the most interesting characters in Elden Ring. Your quest is particularly important if you want to reach all endings in the game as easily as possible. That’s why we’ll tell you step by step what you have to do to complete this quest. We also provide you with pictures so that you can easily orientate yourself.
As always, you should address all NPCs in this quest until their dialogue repeats itself. Only then have you done enough to activate the next step of a quest.

If necessary, you also have to select “Pass time”. Then you can rest until morning, midday or night.
The quickest way to reload a world is to quit your game in the pause menu and reload directly from the main menu.
Elden Ring: Millicent Quest – All steps explained
Step 1: You have to go to the NPC Sage Gowry. This is located in the dangerous region of Caelid. You can find Gowry’s hut by following the main path from Limgrave to Caelid around a rotten lake.
You will find the hut through a large gate, guarded by an oversized dog that you should definitely kill.
Step 2: Now you have to defeat the boss Commander O’Neill. You can find this in the heart of Aeonia Swamp, directly west of Gowry’s Hut.
step 3: Give Gowry the gold pin you got from the boss. He tells you that he needs time to repair them. Reload the world (see gray box) and talk to him again. He gives you back an intact gold pin.
Step 4: Gowry now asks you to find Millicent. It is located in the Plague Tower. You can reach this if you activate the lights in 3 towers in the ghost town of Sellia in the north. Then a gate opens in the north of the city, through which you can take the path to the Church of the Plague.
Step 5: After the dialogue, give the needle to the pitiful Millicent in the Church of Plague. Rest at the Place of Grace and talk to her again. You will now receive your first talisman of the quest.
Step 6: Go back to Gowry’s hut, Millicent should be there. If it’s not there yet, reload the world. Talk to her in the hut and reload the world. Millicent should be gone now, Gowry back instead.
Step 7: You can now find Millicent in the Altus Plateau, slightly north of the viewing hill at the Earth Tree. This in turn is located north of the Dectus lift. Talk to Millicent and she will ask you to find a prosthesis for her lost arm. If you already have this, you will automatically skip steps 8 & 9.
Step 8: This prosthesis is in Shadowkeep, at the northernmost end of Altus Plateau. In the northwesternmost corner of the dangerous castle, a single soldier from Malenia’s army is waiting for you. In the room behind there is a chest containing a prosthetic arm.
Step 9: Return to Millicent at the Earth Tree Lookout Hill and give her her prosthesis. After you’ve finished talking to her, this step is over.
Step 10: Go to Windmill Hill, which is northeast of the Lower Earth Tree in Altus Plateau. Defeat the boss there and reward yourself with the Godhead Scalpel, the best double blade in our weapon tier list.
If you rest at the Place of Grace now, Millicent should show up nearby. If not, reload the world and try again. Talk to her until she has nothing new to say.
Step 11: Millicent’s next location is at the Place of Grace near the ruins of Primal Snow Valley, on the Giants’ Mountaintop. Talk to her there until there is nothing new to tell.
Important: This step should ideally happen before you have activated the Giants’ Forge after the Fire Giant. Some users report that Millicent would otherwise not be able to travel to the next location.
Step 12: Millicent is waiting for you in the late-game region of Elphael, Support of the Halig Tree. In order to reach this at all, you need the 2 parts of the Haligbaum Medallion. Gideon Ofnir in the Round Table Fortress will help you track them down.

If you are in this region, you will find Millicent at the place of grace called the Prayer Room. Talk to her there too until the conversation repeats itself.
Step 13: Deeper into Elphael you will find the Place of Grace Sewer. If you turn around from there and climb up the ladder again, you can come across a tree trunk to a small lake full of scarlet rot. There is a mini-boss hiding in there that you have to kill. After that’s done, you have to reload the world.
Step 14: Millicent is no longer in the prayer room, instead you will find 2 symbols by the lake, one red and one gold. With the gold symbol you help Millicent in the fight against her 4 sisters, with the red symbol you fight against Millicent instead.
Both ends of the quest give you different rewards. If you want all the rewards, you have to play the quest again in New Game+ and make the different choice.
The Talisman increases your damage from quick attacks by up to 22% and is part of our strong Blood build. You can use the gold needle after the fight against Malenia to get Miquella’s needle. With this you can undo the ending “Lord of the Raging Flame”.
Step 15: No matter what you decide, you can return to Gowry in his hut and hear his thoughts on this outcome. You can now optionally kill him for a talisman that improves your invocations by 7.5%.
