The world is talking about El Salvador’s new mega-prison and the living conditions along with the image of the inmates in the prison. The British Daily Mail newspaper, on the other hand, brought the gigantic prison to its agenda with a remarkable news. The information in the news and the details given seem to be talked about a lot.
NORTH AND CENTRAL AMERICA’S TWO MOST FEARED GANGS: MS-13 AND CALLE 18
El Salvador’s new mega-prison is already filled with gangsters from MS-13 and Calle 18, two of North and Central America’s most feared gangs, the report said.
In the massive CECOT (Terrorism Detention Centre) complex, which opened in January, more than 100 prisoners share a cell with only two toilets each.
All are given a little less than one square meter of space to live and sleep in. They don’t have mattresses (beds) or open spaces.
Although the names of the prisoners have not been made public for legal reasons, authorities have shared information that they have imprisoned some key gang figures.
The opening of the prison took place as part of the crackdown on two gangs as part of President Nayib Bukele’s campaign to clean up national violence.
