When Ireland were to play rugby against Italy at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, eight-year-old Stevie Mulrooney from Kilkenny got the chance to sing for the whole world.
And as he sang.
The boy tiptoed into the rugby anthem Ireland’s Call in front of 52,700 fans.
The clip went viral
The incident was noticed, among other things, at Irish mirror, ITV News and The Telegraph. Stevie has also been invited to several talk shows and the clip with him has gone viral. He was also invited to train with the Irish rugby team and received a gift from coach Andy Farrell who has been the head coach of the Irish national team since 2019.
