Sarnia police said they seized various drugs during back to back July 17 searches on Cameron Street in Corunna and at a London Line motel in Sarnia. Records show the two locations were a small white house near the corner of Cameron and Lyndoch streets in Corunna and The Gables Inn on the east end of Sarnia.

A variety of illegal drugs worth more than $47,000 was seized during back to back raids in Sarnia and Corunna on July 17, 2024, Sarnia police said. (Sarnia police)

The drugs officers seized allegedly included nearly 354 grams of crystal meth, almost seven grams of cocaine, about 53 grams of fentanyl, 63 morphine tablets, two hydromorphone tablets, and more than $2,200 in cash. The drugs alone were worth more than $47,000 on the streets, police said.

Following the initial raids, Robin Maness, 44, Lil-Star Nahmabin, 46, and Ashleigh Quinlin, 42, were all charged with five counts of possessing drugs for the purpose of trafficking, police said, while Maness and Nahmabin were each additionally charged with three counts of breaching probation. Police bailed there could be more arrests and the number of suspects grew to seven after four more people turned themselves in about a week later on trafficking charges linked the same probe including Stacey O’Hanlon, 34, Joseph Calver, 67, Joel Poolman, 40, and James Stafford.

However, there still appeared to be one remaining outstanding suspect at the time, according to court records. That person – Sarnia resident Tarrin Wright – was scheduled to appear in court last week on drug charges tied to this investigation. However, he wasn’t there.

But he was also arrested over the weekend of Sept. 7-8 on a probation breach charge and was released with an Oct. 1 court date, court staff noted. Amid potential confusion, a bench warrant was issued for Wright with a hold on it until his next court date in early October.

All eight of the accused have been granted various forms of lease with similar rules such as staying away from each other, the two places that were raided, and weapons. But Maness is back in jail as he was one of three people charged earlier this month with first-degree murder in the death of Brad Ogilvie, a 41-year-old Sarnia man who was reported missing nearly a year ago.
