Eight killed in suicide bombing in Pakistan | News in brief

In Pakistan, militancy has increased since the Taliban organization returned to power in Afghanistan in 2021.

Eight people have been killed and five wounded in a suicide bombing in West Pakistan on Saturday.

The attack took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province near the Afghan border. Four policemen, two members of the paramilitary force and two civilians are said to have died in the attack.

– Three of the five injured are in critical condition, and they have been transferred to the local military hospital, the police say.

The little-known militant group “Aswad ul-Harb” has claimed responsibility for the attack.

In Pakistan, militancy has increased since the Taliban organization returned to power in Afghanistan in 2021. According to Pakistan, hostile groups have started using Afghanistan as a safe haven.

Earlier this week, ten Pakistani border police were killed when the armed Islamist group Tehreek-e-Taliban, also known as the Pakistani Taliban, launched an attack in northeastern Pakistan.
