    On several occasions, young people in Karlstad have thrown eggs at a private person’s residence.

    It has now been reported to the police.

    “No person has been served with suspicion, but witness information is available,” the police write on their website.

    The incidents are being investigated as harassment.

  • Faked his death – to avoid jail time

    Last year, a woman in the municipality of Hudiksvall was sentenced to five months in prison for various fraud offences.

    The sentence was to be carried out in the spring of this year.

    But in March, a death certificate was sent to the Tax Agency and the National Board of Health and Welfare. The certificate stated that the woman had died in a hospital in Västernorrland.

    However, it turned out that the certificate was dated with the wrong year, that the surgical department was misspelled and that the woman was alive, reports Hudiksvall’s newspaper.

    The police suspect that it is the woman herself who sent in the certificate and faked her own death to avoid the prison sentence.

    A crime for which the woman is now charged.

    A motorist who refused to stop at a police checkpoint in Kristianstad has been arrested.

    The man was first about to run over one of the policemen, then he left the scene, stopped the car and ran a short distance.

    With the help of a dog patrol, the man could then be found.

    It is still unclear what crimes the man is suspected of.

  • Israel: Senior Hamas leader killed

    Another high-ranking leader of the terrorist movement Hamas has been killed in an Israeli airstrike against Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, Israel’s military said on social media.

    Izz al-Din Kassab was, among other things, responsible for Hamas’ relations with other groups operating inside Gaza, the military writes.

    He was, according to Israel, one of the last high-ranking leaders of Hamas’ political wing still alive.

    The death has not been confirmed by independent sources.

    Ikea Industry in Älmhult has to pay a company fine of SEK 300,000 after a workplace accident, local media reports.

    In February this year, an employee got his hand stuck in a grinder. The accident resulted in the employee receiving permanent pain.

    According to the prosecutor, the person who was responsible for the work environment had not sufficiently assessed the risk of the work phase. Among other things, there was no protection to stop workers from coming into contact with the moving parts of the machine.

    The machine’s emergency stop function had also not been fully checked.

    About 20 soldiers have been taken hostage by supporters of Bolivia’s ex-president Evo Morales. The kidnapping took place in the province of Chapare, according to military sources.

    In the attack on a military facility, weapons and ammunition were also stolen.

    Sources in Bolivia’s military say that “armed groups” are behind the kidnapping.

    Morales was forced to leave power after he tried to be re-elected by changing Bolivia’s constitution. He then left the country, and has since come into conflict with the ruling party within his old party.

    The police station in the large city of Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine was hit by two Russian robots on Friday evening. A policeman was killed in the attack.

    “Today the Russian enemy targeted a police station in central Kharkiv, one policeman was killed and another 26 police officers were injured, as well as four civilians,” announced Ivan Vygivskyj, who is the national police chief, on Facebook.

    At the same time, the media company Bloomberg stated that Russian forces are advancing in the eastern part of Ukraine with increased intensity, while Russia is strengthening its military offensive capabilities in the Kursk region with North Korean soldiers.

    The emergency services have been alerted to the Kiruna heating plant due to an automatic alarm and the development of smoke.

    – There must have been smoke coming from a switchgear, says alarm and line operator Filip Ek NSD.

    1,900 people have been reported missing after the floods in Valencia, Spain, reports El Diario.

    Due to the weather, the Eckerö line, which runs between Åland and Sweden, is canceled today.

  • Residents have heard “cannon shots”

    Residents on Södermalm in Stockholm have heard loud bangs that sound like “cannon shots”.

    The police have also been contacted by the information. It is the City Hall that the shots are coming from where a celebration is taking place.

    – Someone is firing a salute, says Nadya Norton from the Stockholm police.

    A resident of Södermalm says she heard at least 20 loud bangs.

    – They bang three or four times in a row. Then there will be a break. But there are real bangs. My windows rattle.

    She continues:

    – It feels scary and a little strange.

  • Swedish man reports shaman Durek Verrett

    A Swedish man has reported the self-proclaimed shaman Durek Verrett to the police for sexual abuse and assault, reports Se og Hør.

    According to the newspaper, the suspected crimes must have been committed during a session with the shaman.

    Durek Verrett, who is married to Norwegian princess Märtha Louise, denies the allegations.

    On Friday, Durek Verrett’s lawyer announced that the shaman had reported Se og Hør to the police.

    – I believe that it is a criminal offense to make such serious claims about a person, the lawyer told the newspaper.

    The police notified the Norwegian court that they planned to arrest Marius Borg Høiby.

    The court then contacted the Norwegian crown prince couple and told them about the police’s plans, reports say VG.

    “The royal court then informed the crown prince couple about an incident with Marius Borg Høiby and about a possible arrest,” writes Guri Ofstad Varpe, head of communications for the Norwegian court, in a statement.

    At 15.58 the police received an alert that a collision had occurred between a pedestrian and a bus in Malmö.

    – We have sent police and an ambulance to the scene. We are talking to the people involved, says police spokesperson Filip Annas.

    A woman has been taken to hospital by ambulance.

    The extent of the damage is unclear.
