eFootball 2024 has been announced, with a free-to-play platform, improved gaming experience, team information and Lionel Messi as a global ambassador.
Konami announced the beginning of a new year in eFootball. eFootball 2024 opens its doors to players and brings with it a series of updates and additions that users of all abilities and experience can enjoy.
eFootball 2024 is coming
KONAMI maintains a list of partner clubs that includes some of football’s most iconic teams, including Manchester United FC, FC Bayern München, Internazionale Milano, AC Milan, Arsenal FC and FC Barcelona. In addition, FC Barcelona, one of the clubs with which the company recently renewed its long-term cooperation, is one of the important names on the list.
These teams and many more, which are the scene of some of the biggest transfer news in world football, will update their in-game jerseys, stadiums and squads to coincide with the new football season. Additionally, “eFootball™” remains the only football game where gamers can compete in legendary stadiums such as Allianz Arena, Spotify Camp Nou, San Siro and Stadio Olimpico.
New gameplay mechanics
“eFootball™ 2024” includes a number of updates to gameplay. Based on feedback from existing users, KONAMI has introduced a number of changes to the game to further increase the immersion and realism that “eFootball™” offers. The main changes in the game center around dribbling and defence. Improved control responses allow users to control the ball more closely and dribble even in intense situations, while allowing users to emulate the split-second decisions made at the top levels of professional football.
Increasing the accuracy of individual skills supports users to coordinate their teams and tactical models to a superior level and create more goal opportunities on the virtual field.
‘Boosters’ are a new addition to “eFootball™” giving users the ability to further increase the attributes of their favorite players. ‘Boosters’ allow players to perform beyond normal parameters (99 cap), allowing users to increase the individual abilities and attributes of various players in their ‘Dream Team’. You’ll be able to find various types of boosters in the game, including player-specific ones, ones that affect the entire team, and ones that appear by selecting players who meet certain criteria. This feature will allow users to build their teams with more freedom, diversity and enjoyment.

KONAMI is also proud to announce the continuation of its collaboration with Lionel Messi. The Argentinian legend continues to be the face of many commercial and in-game campaigns specific to “eFootball™” around the world, while also remaining the cover star of the game.
