Eetu Nousiainen was a great success last Sunday in the hill jump world cup volleyball race in Oberstdorf. Nousiainen, who dropped out of the national team before the start of the season, was even second after the first round and eighth in the final results. There has been a lot of positive feedback.

– The phone exploded, the beginning of the week especially ruli all the time messages. Thank you all for the congratulations, I haven’t had time to answer everyone yet, Nousiainen told Sport.

– The jumping has been at a good level and I still got it a little petrified in the competition. Both jumps were at the top of my own performance. It’s kind of like being in the Continental Cup. It’s not really internal to be in the World Cup.

From the end of the week, the last races of the World Cup will be jumped on Planica Airport. Nousiainen goes to them to continue the good jumps. In Planica, it is possible to jump 250 meters of slices, so Nousiainen is also going to improve his own record, which is 223.5 meters. The ascendant likes Planica Hill, but has never jumped from there in such good shape.

After the end of the World Cup, in addition to the Finnish Ski Jumping Championship in Rovaniemi, hill jumpers will take part in the combined Finnish Championships at the beginning of April.

– The guys on the national team had started it with a little joke that they would take part in it. I was on a trip with them and thought, damn, whether I should attend myself. Actually, all the mountaineers participate in it. I haven’t done my skis yet and nothing, I thought coldly pulling. The goal is to reach the finish line. I’m going to try how long it takes ten.
