Norway’s Jarl Magnus Riiber won the ski section of the combined start race that just ended in Otepää. He beat Germany’s Vinzenz Geiger, who came second in the big group in the scrimmage, by 1.7 seconds.
Germany’s Johannes Rydzek was third. The favorite of the host country, Estonia’s Kristjan Ilves, was fourth.
Eero Hirvonen is in a good position after the skiing section, as he was seventh after losing to Riiber by only 2.9 seconds.
Ilkka Herola was 17th, 14.7 seconds behind the leader. Among other Finns, Perttu Reponen was 24th, Otto Niittykoski 36th and Arttu Mäkiaho 37th.
