Living and recreation along the Eem
If it is up to the Municipal Executive of Eemnes, there will be homes on the derelict Ocriet site, on the site of foundation specialist Sterk and on the site of a garage. The area, which is currently still a business destination, is messy and can be used better, says alderman Theo Reijn.
In the area vision that the municipality has set up, there is also room for surrounding companies, such as a transport company and entrepreneurs in a multi-company building, to participate in the development of housing. Marina Kroeze can expand with a few dozen extra berths and possibly create a plug-in harbor on the island. The catering industry at the harbor will be refurbished and expanded with, among other things, a terrace and a small kiosk for pedestrians and cyclists who pass by.
